My brother is newly engaged as of last month and I can’t seem to contain my excitement! Evan told me that he was going to propose to Karen several months ago, and holding in a secret like that is no easy task when you want to run around telling and hugging everyone. I kept the top secret information to myself though, and a few months later Karen was completely surprised when he popped the question! I took them out on Sunday evening for a mini engagement session and by the time we got to our location, the sun was already over the mountain. I blame daylight savings. We were able to capture a few images before the sun had completely set, anyways! Keep an eye out for Part 2 of their session coming up this weekend, but for now these were a few of my favorites!

I found the perfect recipe last week to use up the rest of my apples! So easy to make, and I came home last night and the whole house smelled like warm apples and cinnamon. Check out the recipe HERE!

Family Portrait Session in the Park

The fall portrait sessions have officially begun, and I couldn’t be more excited. This is my favorite season to photograph families, babies, engagements, weddings… you name it! The weather is beautiful, the colors are perfect and everyone is ready for some pictures before winter comes and we’re all buried inside until April. Meagan, Brad, Ben and I had a great time in Washington Park yesterday during their shoot. The last time I photographed Ben, he was barely crawling. This time around he was full of energy, and it was exhausting trying to keep up with him! We ended up with some great images, here are a few of my personal favorites.

Senior Portfolio

I'm in the process of getting my senior portfolio together, going through every piece of artwork I've done the last 4+ years. Organizing, reworking, reshooting and picking and choosing what makes the cut. This is an image from a series I've been working on.. a play on the fashion/modeling industry and everything they don't show you on the runway and in the magazines. It's a work in progress, just thought I'd share!
